Abstract

Gene co-expression networks are a cornerstone of Network Medicine, yet the sample size used to construct them can substantially affect their reliability and the biological conclusions drawn from them. Here, we systematically investigate how varying sample size impacts the accuracy of gene co-expression networks and their utility for disease-module identification, offering practical guidance for study design in network-based analyses.
